In 2024, Plot Shift Media partnered with Film Independent to launch the Climate Entertainment Initiative, a program that provides educational opportunities and grants for independent filmmakers seeking to explore a just and equitable climate future – and the pathways to get there – through innovative storytelling. The Climate Entertainment Initiative builds on the legacy of Film Independent’s signature Screenwriting Lab, Fast Track, and Project Involve programs.
